Common Tips To Save A Buck
- No pressure from hot or cold side of the same faucet? Remove threaded piece of spout and clean screen and plastic components.
- Funny smell from unused bathroom? Run water to replenish seals in drains.
- Funny smell from hot water tank or furnace drain? Fill with a cup of cooking oil so it won't evaporate.
- Clogged bathroom sink or tub? Remove plug and possibly clear hair and scum buildup. Running slow? Use Mr Swirl Drain Cleaner.
- Garburator back up? Plug opposite side of sink and turn on garburator with 1/2 sink full of water. Garburators have reset button for power if power failure occurs.
- Pipes rattle? Straps may be needed or hammer or shock arrests for electronically contracted water devices example: dishwasher & washer machine
- Possibly leaky toilet? Put several drops of food coloring in tank if dye appears in bowl without flushing you have a leak. (If base leaks dye could stain floor; call for tech if unsure.)
- Leaky Faucets waste thousands of gallons of water per week per 1 household.
